Description

A postcard with a color photomechanical print of the trestle at the top of the loop on the Moffat Line, west of the Continental Divide (Tunnel 33). Was originally sent in 1906 with the note on the front reading "Corona, Col. Sep 22 '06 Up above the Clouds where there are snowbanks" and "My dear Kirka Ake[?] Mamma and I have been thinking a whole lot about Jon today. Hope g??? has been a good little man. Papa." Sent from Denver to Colorado Springs (name is too faint on back to read). The postcard was sent again through the mail in 1991. A note and address were typed over the original 1906 address on the back. The 1991 note was a thank you note addressed to Cynthia (Cindy) Neeley and Christine Bradley at the Georgetown Society Inc. about help with research.
