Description
A postcard with a color photomechanical print of the Berthoud Pass road in Colorado, with a car going down switchbacks on the Clear Creek County side. Very blurry print. The printed description on the back of the postcard reads "Switchbacks on Berthoud Pass Highway. This is one of the highest passes on any transcontinental highway. It was constructed by the U.S. Government and has an average grade of about four per cent." The postcard is published by H. H. Tammen Company, number 15703. The date range is based on the completion of the improved Berthoud Road Pass (1923) and the style of the card.
